Published in 1912 this was the author's first full length book. Early chapters are planned to give a firm foundation for the study of the Bible. The full inspiration of the Bible is considered and supported. Terms are explained and it is shown that while each book has been written with a purpose and has instructions for all, yet each has a particular application to certain people. With this basis the author exhibits how the Bible reveals the purposes of God, which are seen to have earthly as well as heavenly implications, and need to be carefully compared with traditional doctrines. Specifieke begrippen worden uitgelegd. Ook laat het boek zien dat de Bijbel wel voor iedereen is, maar niet over iedereen gaat. De Bijbel kent bepaalde doelgroepen met een voor hen bedoeld doel. Met dit als uitgangspunt, laat de schrijver zien, hoe de Bijbel het doel van God onthult, waaruit blijkt dat deze zowel het aardse als hemelse doel behelst.
